What the Pirate Shop Makes Free (and What It Doesn't)
Short answer: for 14 days per activation, every Item Shop item priced in V-Bucks is free to claim — outfits, emotes, pickaxes and (reported) Jam Tracks. Pass levels, real-money offers and gifting are excluded, and claimed items stay in your locker afterwards.
How the free claiming works
While your 14-day window is active, V-Bucks prices in the Item Shop are replaced with FREE, and claiming works like a normal purchase at no cost. You claim as many eligible items as appear in the shop during the window.
- Reported During an active window, V-Bucks-priced shop items display FREE and can be claimed at no cost.Sources: Shacknews (Aidan O'Brien), Dexerto (Callum Doyle), Beebom (Rishabh Sabarwal)
Because the shop rotates daily, the real value of the window depends on which days you activate — 14 rotations of the shop pass during it. See when to press Activate Now.
What is free
Everything priced in V-Bucks is claimable free during the window:
| Item type | Free? | Label |
|---|---|---|
| Outfits, emotes, pickaxes, wraps, other V-Bucks items | Yes | Reported |
| Jam Tracks | Yes | Reported — first winner's report |
| Sidekicks | One you don't already own | Reported |
What is excluded
Passes, real money and gifting stay out — the reward covers V-Bucks-priced shop items only:
| Excluded | Why |
|---|---|
| Battle Pass and other pass levels/rewards | In-game reward text excludes pass levels and rewards |
| Real-money offers and bundles | Reward covers V-Bucks-priced items only |
| Gifting (sending or receiving) | Gifting is excluded from the reward |
| V-Bucks themselves | The reward pays no currency |
| Transferring the token | "This treasure is not transferable" |
- Reported Exclusions per the in-game limitations: pass levels, real-money offers, gifting; the token is not transferable and grants no V-Bucks or codes.Sources: Dexerto (Callum Doyle), Timesaver.gg (Sam Okonkwo), Shacknews (Aidan O'Brien)
- False Claims that the token also unlocks the Music Pass or LEGO Pass contradict the in-game exclusions.Sources: Timesaver.gg (Sam Okonkwo)
Do you keep the items after 14 days?
Yes — according to the first winner, the 14-day limit applies to claiming items, not to keeping them. Everything you claimed stays in your locker when the window closes.
- Reported Claimed items remain in the locker after the window ends.Single first-hand report so far; we have seen no counter-report.Sources: Dexerto (Callum Doyle), Timesaver.gg (Sam Okonkwo)
Strategy that follows: claim everything remotely interesting each day even if you will not use it — there is no indicated downside, and unclaimed rotations do not come back.
